Overview
Humane AI needed a mobile-first website experience that made product discovery and checkout feel simple, clear, and conversion-focused. As Cantilever’s Project Manager, I worked closely with the client, Humane’s internal team, and our Senior UX Designer to align on priorities, organize design sessions, manage tasks, and guide the delivery of the mobile homepage, PDP, and purchase flow.
The Humane Website Build was a collaborative project between Cantilever and Humane AI focused on creating a streamlined, component-based website experience. The first version prioritized the key parts of the user journey: the mobile homepage, Product Detail Page, and purchase page. Cantilever led the UX, development, and launch work, while Humane’s internal team managed the final visual design with consulting input from our side. My focus was making sure Cantilever’s responsibilities stayed organized, aligned, and clearly communicated throughout the project.
The problem
Humane needed a mobile-first experience that could support product discovery and a smoother checkout journey. The challenge was to simplify the path from learning about the product to completing a purchase, especially for users browsing on mobile.
The project also required strong coordination across teams, since UX decisions, visual design, development, and business goals all needed to stay aligned during the build.
My role
As Project Manager for Cantilever, I coordinated the project from our side. I acted as the main point of contact between Cantilever and Humane’s internal team, organized design sessions and workshops, managed weekly updates, and kept tasks moving through Asana.
I also worked closely with Cantilever’s Senior UX Designer to provide UX guidance, review design decisions, and make sure the homepage, PDP, and checkout flow supported both user needs and business goals.
Approach
We started by focusing on the most important parts of the experience: the mobile homepage, Product Detail Page, and purchase page. The goal was to create a clear and efficient user journey rather than overcomplicating the first version.
For the homepage, we began with low-fidelity wireframes to define the flow and navigation, then moved into high-fidelity Figma designs using components, variants, and auto-layout. For the PDP and checkout pages, we focused on improving product clarity, reducing friction, and creating a responsive component-based structure that developers could implement smoothly. Throughout the project, I maintained a regular feedback loop with Humane’s team and our internal UX team. I organized weekly reviews, tracked progress in Asana, clarified blockers, and made sure feedback was incorporated without losing momentum.
Outcome
The project delivered a mobile-optimized homepage, Product Detail Page, and checkout flow that improved the overall product journey. The final experience made it easier for users to discover the product, understand key information, and move through purchase with less friction.
The work also created a more scalable design foundation through reusable Figma components, variants, auto-layout, and clear development handoff. For me, the project reinforced the value of structured communication, clear ownership, and mobile-first thinking when managing complex, collaborative website builds.
