Overview
This project focused on designing a dashboard interface for a SaaS platform that helps organizations manage and interact with data across multiple workflows. The goal was to create a clear, scalable interface that allows users to quickly access information, navigate between tools, and manage complex tasks efficiently.
The design work centered on creating a consistent and intuitive product experience while supporting the platform’s growing functionality. By improving visual hierarchy, navigation, and component structure, the dashboard was redesigned to make complex data easier to interpret and workflows easier to complete.
The problem
As the platform expanded, the dashboard interface struggled to keep up with the growing number of features and data points. Important information was difficult to prioritize, navigation between sections was not always intuitive, and users needed to spend time interpreting how different parts of the interface were connected.
Without a structured design system and clear layout patterns, the interface risked becoming increasingly fragmented as new features were introduced. The challenge was to design a dashboard that could support complex workflows while remaining clear, scalable, and easy to navigate.
My role
I worked as the Product and UX Designer responsible for designing the dashboard interface and defining the visual and interaction patterns used throughout the product. My role focused on translating product requirements into clear user flows and scalable interface components.
I collaborated closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure the design decisions supported both usability and implementation. This included designing key dashboard views, structuring how data was presented, and establishing reusable components that could support future product growth.
Approach
The design process focused on simplifying how users interact with large amounts of information. I prioritized clear visual hierarchy, structured layouts, and modular components that allowed different types of data to be presented in a consistent and readable way.
By introducing reusable UI components and consistent interaction patterns, the dashboard became easier to navigate and expand. This modular approach also allowed the product team to introduce new features without disrupting the overall user experience.
Outcome
The redesigned dashboard created a more structured and intuitive product experience. Users were able to understand key information more quickly, navigate between tools more easily, and interact with the platform with less friction.
The introduction of scalable UI components also helped establish a stronger design foundation for the product, making it easier for the development team to maintain consistency as the platform continued to evolve.
